My attention to anxiety, depression and its deep need for support and understanding!

Many of us struggle with: depression, anxiety, fear, negative thinking, any type of physical and/or psychological abuse and/or trauma, self-esteem issues, shame, difficulties in communication in relationships and work issues, as well as loss of a close friend of family member. A deep sense of understanding and support can create positive changes and diminish symptoms. I am here to help understand what lies underneath these issues. As an experienced therapist who has worked with children, adolescents, and adults for 29 years, I will be supportive, understanding and hear you!

Anxiety and depression can be very debilitating and difficult to tolerate at times. I believe what is often needed is a safe, trustworthy, dependable setting where a therapist and client can learn to trust each other and begin to work together to alleviate these symptoms. We will work together learning the ways to cope with and hopefully alleviate the difficulties of anxiety and how it get in the way of daily life. This, of course, goes for depression as well.

Often, one feels very alone in this struggle and cannot any longer rely of either family and or friends. I am here to offer support and work with you as life presents its many challenges to our ability to stay balanced. During difficult times, additional support can offer the breathing and grounding work which we need to help us make sense of our daily circumstances.

The process of Psychotherapy is one of self-discovery in a supportive "holding" environment. The goal is to find balance and clarity and to quiet the symptoms. I specialize in Psychodynamic therapy which emphasizes how the totality of our life experiences affects our view of our world today. Through the process of exploring personal history mixed with the present we uncover why we do things. Thus, feeling more empowered, more assertive, and giving us a CHOICE rather than just reacting to our surroundings.

I have the deepest respect for the courage it takes to begin this process with virtually, a stranger. welcome and thank you judibuch....there are many members here who are isolated, can't afford therapy, and fear a bad relationship with a therapist, so they simply don't take the chance to reach out. I know your input can be very valuable to a lot of members, and you'll have an interesting learning experience yourself too....cause most of us here are experts on our anxiety and depression, etc..... I was once told you can learn something new everyday.
