Hi, Samdoc.

I was having the same issues. After working for almost 20 years as an exemplary employee across the board.

I hid myself pretty good until work became so stressful that I showed signs of "all of the above". Then the manager& supervisor started to micromanage me once I told them I was having mental issues.

I had a total neurological workup & psyche tests done because I thought I might have dementia. Work had become a living hell.

Turns out I've had ADHD, anxiety, depression, "pseudo-dementia" caused by stress & anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), cognitive disorder probably my whole life.

Needless to say, I'm working my ass off trying to get better. How many are there that aren't aware or not willing to open that door? It took me until I was almost 60. There are solutions. Have you talked to your doctor?

Hi! I have all of those symptoms plus anxiety and depression all due to a traumatic brain injury I sustained when I was 20 years old. College was rough, to say the least, but despite all of that, I was on the deans list 3 semesters and on the National Honor Society, of course I didn't have a social life ;). I had to read and re-read over and over and I found that books on tape helped too. I used to pretend like I was teaching someone (I talked out loud) which as crazy as it sounds, helped. I would tape lectures and listen to them throughout the day. I also found that writing things on flashcards helped. Ooops......almost forgot one of the key ingredients to my ability to do this......at that time I took Adderall which I hated because of the crash but it helped me focus. Now I take Vyvanse......no crash and it really helps my attention, not 100%, but it helps. I also find that taking vigorous walks, jogging, going on the elliptical at the gym helps me focus. I hope that you find this helpful. If I think of anything else, I will let you know. You can do it.......it takes a lot of work, but you can do it :)
