Music
Hi michelle2018, Music Therapy is used in some large hospitals as a way of soothing patients with emotional or physical pain. When I was in the hospital the therapist would come to my room with her guitar, speak softly and allow me to relax with my eyes closed before starting to strum the guitar and use humming along with it. Music is so powerful to the mind. It can take you to another place. Almost like a mother humming to singing to her child. It leaves you with an inner comfort and safety.
As for relaxation music, everyone is different in how they respond. I prefer listening to audio tapes that have music softly in the background. I tend to respond better to self hypnosis, affirmations, deep breathing and Imagery. Check out YouTube, that has been my "go to" depending what my needs are for the day.
Remember to use deep breathing as an escape from daily stress. Wishing you peace & calm xx
My music therapy is when I play the music. I grab my guitar and just strum random chords. I know some jingle tunes so I lay them down too.
My go to is classical music...Fur Elise....Moonlight Sonata...etc.
Have a great friday!
Music can be Magical in altering a mood. And one of the joys of the internet is having everything on tap. So: If i want to dance around the house then: Boston's: More than a feeling. UB4O ( any) or Blondie. If i want to just listen n lose myself: Greig Hall of the Mountain King. Holst. The Planet suite. Duka,s The Sorcerers apprentice. Mozart. Overture to the Marriage of Figaro. or O Fortuna from Carmina Burana, Vaughn Williams The Lark ascending. Try a few, ππ»βοΈ
Dubba61, I agree with you...dance, sing and lose yourself in music. "More than a feeling" one of my favorites as well. Happy Friday, let the music begin xx
