My name is Emily. I'm 14 years old and I'm pretty sure I have anxiety. I'm getting angry really easy and I tend to stress over everything. I'm almost always worried about something different or the same. I just don't know what to do. I'm going to the school councilor but it's not helping. I have these bad habits of pulling out my hair and digging my nails into my hands just to get my mind of something. I need help and I don't know what to do.

Oh sweety I'm sorry to hear your dealing with this. I recommend you going to a parent, guardian, or trusted adult to get the help you need. It's okay to not be okay. But for you to know that you have anxiety and asking for help, that's one of the bravest things i have seen on here! I recommend going to a therapist (counselor) outside of school because that can help as well. You may feel even more safe and having that type of privacy since it would be outside of school.
I hope you have someone you can talk to in person, if not you can talk to me because I'm here to help.
I understand what your going through and can relate because i went through anxiety your age, but i didn't even know it then. It wasn't until i was 17ish (lol) to realize i had anxiety from being bullied almost every single day in high school. And to realize i had anxiety and depression since around age 12.
So your very brave. Very strong and i'm glad your seeing your school counselor but i suggest keep seeing that counselor until you find better options.
Lastly, you can go to the doctor and tell your doctor you have anxiety. They will glady help you.
Take care and you can private chat me anytime. My username is Vonnah and just to let you know I'm a 20 year old girl. But I'm here to help if you need any advice. Stay strong and please don't give up because you have no idea how strong you are! 💜😊
Hi, it's okay to not know what to do but posting on here is a great start. If you see you are not getting any real help I would suggest going to see your doctor. School counselors are often overworked, many times they would love to help but have so much going on. I understand the digging in your nails habit, I find myself doing it when I am really anxious or just seem to be out of it. When I catch myself doing it I try to take deep breathes and keep my hands busy. I hope you get the help you need. It's toughing going at it alone but thankfully there is help
I just got started here, I'm an eighteen-year-old girl. You are more than welcome to message me if you would like.
I am so sorry your going through such a rough time, at your age things seem soo much worse, I understand that you may not be getting what you need from your counsellor, have you talked to your parents about going to a regular therapist. Have you looked around on line for some other groups of young people dealing with similar issues. It's worth getting to the root of what has you feeling this way, and what you can do to help cope with it. Don't give up, there is a solution, keep trying. Keep writing too, it helps to take some of the power out of the stress.
