Ive Been having a rough time lately...I have really bad anxiety and had thought it was improving greatly... now I just have it back again. Stinks, I really thought I had tackled it and here it is again. I am not on any meds and have never talked to a doctor about having anxiety, fear ofor judgement in my mind. Now wondering if I should. I am 23 female and have no self confidence and just am looking for some strategies and strength to help with the anxiety right now.

It wouldn’t hurt to talk to a doc or counselor, you never know if something will help you until you try. Also, you shouldn’t feel like you will be judged, they are here to help you and so are all the preppie here. Remember self care is very important even when your anxiety is under control.
Thank you for the quick and kind reply Sandia! I'm hoping to get into the doctor soon! I'm most usually one of those positive people on outside, but ALWAYS ANXIOUS on the inside unfortunately... thanks for the advice!I needed it!
I have had anxiety and depression since I was 15, and I didn't see a psychiatrist until I was 23. I should have gone much sooner, but I always hoped things would somehow work out on their own. (They didn't.) I agree with Sandia. Your first step is to see your GP and ask for a referral for a psychiatrist.
It was traumatic for me the first time I went to the psychiatrist. I was afraid of the stigma- would people treat me differently if they knew? Now I couldn't care less about it. Lots and lots of people go for treatment, and they look just like anybody you see on the street. So don't let fears like that keep you from going. Please get the help you need. It's much easier than you might think.
Thanks for the advice! I am kind of in the same boat as you were before you went in.... I will have to just go in sometime. I'm really struggling right now so the more advice the better! Thanks!
tough time. Anxiety stinks and can be really defeating and draining. I would definitely start talking to a councilor or psychologist about what you’re going through. Some of the best help I’ve received was from talking to others about anxiety. The doctors always want me to go on anxiety medication. I on the other hand like to take a more natural approach so instead I exercise, eat healthy, talk to people about the anxiety, try to self soothe and not be hard on oneself. The last one is the hardest but it also helps take a lot of pressure off. There’s this woman on YouTube and here name is Zoella. She does makeup videos and such. She has really bad anxiety and did the video about it that rocked my world in so many great ways. Give it a watch sometime: Dealing with Panic Attacks and Anxiety|Zoella Good luck!
Sometimes when I'm anxious I listen to meditation music or "Liquid Mind". Beautiful music. I let myself get into a floating in the ocean kind of vibe. Also, petting an animal, self grounding techniques, taking a warm bath, watching cute baby animal videos. Hope this helps.
