I am withdrawing from 100 mg of Pristiq. Will take 50mg for 2 weeks, 25mg for 1 week, and then 25mg every other day for a week. I've read horror stories about withdrawing from Pristiq so I hope that this tapering schedule suggested by my doctor is conservative enough. At the same time I am starting Viibryd. Does anyone have experience with this AD? I think this is last antidepressant I haven't tried. If it doesn't work for me, I'm out of options.

Withdrawing from Pristiq, Going on Viibryd
I have tried every single one out there as well as my boyfriend. Viibryd works wonders for him like it changed him and helps with everything else struggles with. Like truly just took the edge off life for him and helped his overall well-being. He got on it like right when it was new or whatever. It worked for me but it made me gain weight and so I took myself off. But it didn’t make my boyfriend gain weight. He also works out a lot and is mma so idk. It worked wonders for him and would have done the same for me but once I saw 130 lbs on the scale I flipped out and stopped taking it. Really not a smart idea. I don’t advise taking that route. I have cold turkey stopped SSRI’s and that was like mental of me to do. More mental than I am which is like well anyway. When a doctor tapers you off you’ll avoid all side effects. It might feel different switching meds but don’t mistake that to withdrawals. You know if you’re withdrawing and your doctor knows how to avoid that. Best of luck.
Sending positive vibes your way

It’s probably similar to tapering off cymbalta. First steps were relatively easy, last stage was hard. There are things to help you. Some Prozac (hey) to make withdrawal symptoms less. Benadryl helps against vertigo and nausea. The forum cymbaltawithdrawal.com has great tips. Good luck!
