Withdrawal from Trazodone

Withdrawal symptoms from stopping trazodone.....with the advice from my psychiatrist I have stopped taking Trazodone and now I have high anxiety. I am anxious about everything. I have been pacing at home. Is there anyone out there who is facing similar symptoms?

my mental health professional prescribed trazodone as a sleep aid...unfortunately I don't take it that much because I don't usually have enough time to sleep it out of my system....I am on prozac for my anxiety and depression..

I use trazadone pm for help w sleep,but don't seem to help anymore,I'm so tired using medicines to just survive,I have leg movements that's like restless leg syndrome it's horrible

I am tired too for having to take all these medications just to function like a normal person not on drugs. I am sorry to hear that you have leg movements. It must be very hard. When I had it my psychiatrist took off the drug and prescribed some other drug.

I have been taking trazodone to help me sleep for over a year. It has worked better than anything else, including prescription sleep meds as well as natural supplements. I suspect that I experience anxiety mid morning when trazodone is leaving my system. I notice that I am usually anxious in the morning, and the anxiety stops in the afternoon. I don't have any plans to stop taking it anytime soon because I need my sleep. Trazodone gives me about six to seven hours of sleep. I am curious to hear what others say.

I was sleeping for more than 12 hours so that is why I wanted to get off trazodone. The other 3 drugs that I take for anxiety is enough for having a good night's sleep. What do you do when you are anxious in the morning?

Sometimes I suffer through it, or I take a CBD gummy and that seems to help somewhat. I also try drinking herbal tea, and try to get outside and walk and get fresh air. I work inside, so it helps if I can get outside and take a walk. I don't take any drugs specifically for anxiety or depression anymore. I didn't like the side effects.

I can't function without my other meds so l have to take them....

I was told when stopping Trazodone this would happen and it did for me.It does not last for two long untill it is fully out of your system and your body no longer depends on it.
