stress eating...

I've always been prone to it, but when I'm in a bad spot with anxiety/depression....forget about it, I'm finding all of the sweets I can get my hands on. All I end up with is a stomachache and a heck of a lot of guilt :-( Advice, tips???

Hello, if a gallon of ice cream enters my house, I'll murder it short time if my anxiety is high. So, it's kept in the overflow refrigerator in the garage so I have to think about it before attacking it. If I do have some, it is put in a crystal ice tea glass and I need an ice teaspoon to eat it. That slows me down and makes me feel a little special, The food cravings with my anxiety may actually be considered an addiction, so the Serenity Prayer is well known in my house. The irony, nothing but that vanilla ice cream calls to me. Don't know if that was much help for you, but has helped me from over feeding my anxiety with more sugar fuel.

I really don't know.....simple good vanilla.....not some sophisticated complicated flavor!

Life. Good luck, ok? :)

I am back from ER hospital for a whirlwind of scans, blood work, etc........all good (they were expecting evidence of stroke or brain tumor.) Not allowing anything to drink or eat all day. Just killed the vanilla ice cream. :)

But i asked what was causing the symptom of something horrible........doctors said "we don't know".HUH?

OH, I think I hear vanilla calling again............

In my case I do not buy any junk food or candy. If I buy any candy or chips they are finished as soon as I buy them so I really do my sent to avoid that. If I have cravings I am too lazy to get in my car and drive to buy that and it gives me time to realize I do not really need it...
