I get that too. Usually I splash water on my face and drink water then try to get comfortable again. Are you new to anxiety as well?

Yes I never in my life have experienced anything like this. It all started when i went to the ER for stomach pain and they told me I had to get an endoscopy done. I’m just so nervous about being put to sleep.

Yes it's part and parcel of anxiety im afraid. I could hear it everytime I closed my eyes...it was awful! It isn't always down to a defect(mine wasn't) but better to be safer than sorry plus it will ease any worries you have. Take care. J

Thanks I have gone to the hospital like almost every other day. They’ve done ct scan and a X-ray of my heart and lungs and everything comes back normal. I feel that I’m going crazy at times. I just want for all of this to stop already.

Honestly....you aren't going crazy. It's actually a pretty normal reaction when it comes to anxiety. Doctors are often great but there are the odd ones who know it's anxiety and treat us like we've just been scraped from the bottom of their shoes. But here, on this site(isn't it marvellous?)....all the support you need can be found thro others who are going thro it and like myself...been thro it and I'm here at the other end. Alot of emotional and mental symptoms can present themselves as physical. It doesn't make it any less scary. If going to the hosp eases the distress then I can't and won't tell you to do otherwise. Try some deep breathing exercises, they worked for me plus writing...write write write. It gives you something to focus on and hey...who knows you may see a pattern emerge with the pains. I'm around should you need a chat...everyone on here is amazing so feel free to vent and chat as much as you need. J

I developed the same problem in my late 30's. When I tried to sleep, it was like I was watching fast movies behind my eyelids. Thoughts racing, heart pounding. Ativan was the only thing that helped.

Do you still experience this? I am in my late 30s and have experienced this for the past year. Ativan works but I end up feeling dizzy if I take it more than once a week.

Yeah....it happens ...

No, it's not normal.

I control it by repeating a mantra or a prayer over and over again and by using the 478 breathing method.(inhaling one two three four, holding my breath one two three four five six seven and exhaling one two three four five six seven eight). It helps...
