I had to file FMLA for accommodation to deal with my anxiety and still be able to work. It wasn’t what I wanted to do, but now I feel protected. Just know that you cannot legally be penalized for having this disease. Sending good thoughts and I hope it gets better.
I think that is a great move & am interested in the process & what information was relayed to you about being protected
I understand. I've had the same. Which country do you live in?
Are you in a Union or Staff Organisation?
Is there an Occupational Health Department where you work?
Could you talk to your own doctor?
Make sure whoever you speak to that you impress upon them that everything you say is to be kept in the strictest confidence.
After talking everything through, you may want to have some time to decide what action, if any, you take and what the best way forward is.
But definitely keep a log / diary of any unhelpful/ inappropriate behaviour, comments, bullying, mocking etc.
If you see your own doctor, make sure this is noted in your records.
