Job hunting
I did a the Myers Briggs personality test and at the end they tell you what professions are good for your type of personality
Would you like to volunteer ? Also if a magic genie gave you seconds to pick a job what do YOU think it would be? There is a book called What Color is Your Parachute- I read it ages ago, but I do not have it anymore. However, it really provides insights. Also if you are in the US, there are career centers out there where people can help you.
I told my husband when he was fussing at me I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grow up. I’m 46. I actually retired from my career in the medical field on social security disability due to physical trauma from a car accident. He did not find the humor. What am I supposed to say though? I’m disabled and can’t do much. I suggest talking to a vocational counselor. I’m not sure where you are but we have them. Colleges have them too and can help you find something you are passionate about. Even your therapist. Try listing things you like however big or small. Then think about jobs that would fit with some of those. I love sewing so I would enjoy a job in a fabric store, teaching classes or sewing in general. That’s an example. I actually just learned how to make a pair of pajama pants. So I made several pairs of pajama pants for myself and family. A lot. Now I’m stuck. I don’t know how to make anything else. Try that though. Anything you like or that interests you. I hope you find something wonderful. A job is only one thing in a long life. It does not define your self worth. I know many people who don’t work outside the home and are truly wonderful people inside and out!
