Hello, I am not familiar with citalopram - what is it prescribe for? have you been thru a depression test. Does your doctor do those screen? If he does not then I would seek help else where. Can you talk with a therapist that specializes in depression/anxiety etc., I know I feel awful when I am in a bout, as I am now. My doctor just added gabapentin to my fuels, I started it yesterday and today I am getting relief, I am also on an antidepressant and buspirone for anxiety along with Lithium as I am Manic Depressive 11, means I get the depressions (bad) but not the manic high. If your doctor cann't or won't help you find someone that specializes, Be prepared for it to take some time to get well and there will be side effects from the meds - mine have been easy to handle it has just taken time. Remember we care, sending love and peace. Sprinkle 1

Hi it is an anti depressant I am only 18 so it’s quite a low dose. I have been to therapists when I was younger but never continued with them, my dr has advised me to start seeing one again it is just a very long waiting list at the minute to get in. I haven’t had a depression test no but I have all the symptoms of depression, never in my life have I felt genuinely happy I always have a worry and now it’s lead me to feeling very unwell for weeks because my anxiety is that bad. Thanks for your reply

I know that my anxiety and depression definitely cause me physical symptoms. I know that when I’m having a really rough time and my anxiety doesn’t want to lighten up it causes me to have stomach cramps and it effects my appetite.

Thanks for the reply, it’s weird what depression can do isn’t it. I don’t really have specific symptoms I just feel generally feel unwell as if I’ve got a virus but I haven’t
