Hi. I'm new and this is my first post.
I have always been quite a tired person, sleeping a lot, etc. But since I've been on sertraline (approx 6 months now), I have found myself consistently tired; practically 24/7. I know that it is necessary for people in my age group (age 17) to get more sleep than others (easier said than done!), but even in recent days when I have successfully been able to sleep 10 hours plus, I am as tired as always. I know fatigue can also be related to significant changes in the sleep pattern, but I'm pretty sure it isn't that entirely as there have been multiple-month long stretches, where I have successfully had nights of 8 hours sleep at the same time, each time.
As such, I have concluded that it is related to the sertraline. I know that fatigue is a listed symptom, but this really quite has become difficult for me to handle. I am only on a 50mg daily dose. I spoke to my psychiatrist previously about reducing the mane to ease this, but it wasn't very beneficial and had negative effects on the main aim of the treatment.
Does anyone else experience this issue and has anyone got any tips for helping it?
Many thanks
