How to deal with the fatigue?

Hi. I’m new here and it’s my first post. I’ve been dealing with anxiety / depression since I was 19, I’m now 33. But I’ve never dealt with the level of fatigue that I have now. I’m writing this because earlier I was involved in a huge car accident which I feel was my fault due to my complete tiredness. Nothing that I do helps. If I sleep more, still the same. I wake up and I feel the same as I do when I go to bed. I’ve been to the GP countless times for bloods, I’m actually waiting on a full blood count again with results coming Monday, but my bloods always seem ok. I just can’t deal with this fatigue anymore. Anxiety and depression are actually easier to deal with than the fatigue! I don’t know what I’m hoping in writing this. But I needed to talk. Thank you for reading.

doublechedk that you don't have mononucleosis or an Epstein Barr infection. They are the same thing, but you can have an EB infection without mono.

Maybe try a blood test to check your vitamins? Your iron level?

Maybe talking to a therapist or someone you trust about the situation? Mentally it could be causing your fatigue as well.

Hi shanematt88 14 years in suffering with anxiety and depression is physically and mentally wearing. I know because I suffered with severe anxiety that went into agoraphobia for years. From there I developed Fibromyalgia. I wasn't tired but the chronic pain was

debilitating at times. Daily headaches were also involved. Doctors told me I had developed

this autoimmune disorder due to the stress of anxiety.

I've know others who have gone into Chronic Fatigue Syndrome from the EPV. It can be a

difficult issue to diagnose. I found my help through a Rheumatologist. As hard as it can be

to get through some days with severe pain, I can't even start to imagine living each day with

extreme tiredness. I hope you get some answers soon. Do not give up searching. Someone

out there holds the answer. My best to you :) xx

Hi, I’m sorry you are struggling just now I can tell you what has helped me. I used to be so tired I thought there must be a reason? I had all the usual tests but all came back fine. I started by taking a multivitamin and a B12 vitamin every morning, I go out a power walk every morning then keep myself busy throughout the day. The first couple of days are pretty exhausting but then you should see some benefits, I now have loads of energy and sleep brilliant every night, it’s really hard but I found little changes really do work. I hope this helps x

Hey there,

First of, sorry for the incident, I hope no major injuries. Depression is such a bad demon. Your fatigue is coming from it. Depression affects emotions and the level of activity bcz of the chemical imbalance in our brains. Have you thoughts of getting meds and or seeing a therapist to assist with it? Those will do you a great deal.
