I feel completely terrible, I keep getting near anxiety attack everyday before or after I go to school. I'm to the point I want to drop out, the only reason I don't drop out is because I can finish my bachelors degree in a year and a half. I just can't take it, I want to do online school, but my parents believe I won't be social anymore. I really want to drop out and just work, but my parents keep saying that I won't get a good job. Someone please help me get over my anxiety problems.

Pushed to the Limit
Lavern, does the school you attend have a dept that you can talk to that might recommend a kind of therapy for you? To me, you simply need to talk to someone freely and openly without the fear of anyone criticizing you for anything you say...or any feelings you might have... I wish your parents could help you with this... I do agree with them that NO, you should NOT drop out... Please, make it your #1 goal to find someone you can talk with...hopefully your school can help you...but if they can't...then maybe your family Dr?? Good loving wishes to you! <3
Hi Lavern15
I agree with Betty 30.
I am sorry to hear that you are struggling at the moment. I am happy that you have recognized you are pushed to the limit. Your health and wellbeing as a student is very important.
Schools are aware you may face a variety of difficult personal situations as your education continues. Most of the time, you will be able to effectively resolve problems on your own. However, at other times your personal happiness, family relations, personal performance, and physical health may require additional assistance.
It's very important to look into either Student Services or Student Assistance Program (SAP) provided by your school.
The 5 key points about SAP
1. provides you with the support and resources you need to cope with pressures and challenges you face that may be affecting your studies
2. is a voluntary, confidential and complimentary counselling service
3. is designed to assist students and their families .
4. accessing assistance is easy - call in, phone or ask a teacher to make an appointment
5. provided at no cost to you
