I am going back to my psychiatrist to start antidepressants again along with mood stabilizers. I realize now that I can't leave my mental illness untreated especially in the fall months.
I hate taking medications because for over 12 years I have known what my "normal" emotional response is, and use to the sometimes irrational states and needing to rely on logic, however when I get on a medication it seems like it alters how I feel and I can't understand if it is a "real" feeling/ emotion or if it is simply a "irrational" one.
Anyone else?

Good for you recognizing that you need some help, once again. Hopefully what medication worked for you before will work again (sometimes it doesn't and the doctors don't know why).
If you are having trouble with the emotional/feeling side of things, ask your psychiatrist if he/she is prepared to do some guided talking therapy with you or whether you need to see a psychologist.
Good luck Alicia and I hope you get sorted quickly. You certainly know yourself and well done for going to see your specialist. When I need help and to get to see the doc that's when I struggle to leave the house!!
