lol. That is not very easy. Not that I don't try. I obviously haven't given up because I am still only because my beliefs are more powerful. The will is weak more times than not. There is not much winning in these situations other than surviving without slipping into not. Thank you for yiyr kink words.

Hi,

You are not broken, you are only taking a detour on the way to success.

You have it in you to set the intention that will guide you for the rest of your life.

I was listening to a webinar today. These webinars are usually to get you to buy products, but I sometime find snippets of information in them at are useful. Sonia Ricotti who was presenting the webinar was talking about her book and the problems she had that let her to write books and work to help others. She was talking about the first steps in gaining control of your life and that was to STOP, REFLECT and SET AN INTENTION.

She went to tell her story about how she lost everything was millions of dollars in debt, lost her house, her marriage and had serious health issues as well.

From her webinar I took that the key points to start changing your life is that you have to STOP the cycle. So if you find you are going round and round the same issues or a downward spiral then just stop. Don't change anything yet this is just a pause so you can think. You then want to REFLECT on your situation, to me that meant take note of where you are, don't get angry or pulled into the detail. Almost like doing a list of ! and XXX amount in debt, I may loose my house, I suffer from migraines, I am ill, etc.

After you have done this you need to SET AN INTENTION. Your intention is what you really want and you have to truly feel and to the extent of it being a shout from the roof tops intention. She says it should be an intention that you mean with every fiber of your being.

Sonia explained that she didn't really know exactly what she wanted but she didn't want to be where she was at the moment. So the intention that she set was

“I don’t know why this is all happening, but one thing I know for sure,

something GREAT, HUGE, AMAZING, SOMETHING WAY BIGGER THAN ME is going to come out of this, because I’m not going through all this stuff for nothing!” What she did was send the intention out to the universe (my understanding of this is that you just tell the universe in a positive and determined manner what your intention is. So for me that would be me sitting in a room on my own saying out loud "Right universe the is my intention ........") She went on to explain the rest of her program and where you can get her books.

She went into detail about meditation, gratitude, forgiveness and believing in yourself.

So maybe you should think about setting an intention and then look into how what techniques you are doing at the moment can help you to become aware of your thought patterns and how to change then, forgiving yourself and others so you can move on, feeling gratitude, looking at accepting things and letting go so you can get better and being aware of when things are getting out of control again.

I have seen most of the things she mentioned before , but the setting an intention step wasn't as clear to me and when I read your post I though it might help you.

Also changing your thought process will help. I used positive affirmations and changed to I thought. So instead of saying "I don't want to be ill" I now say "I am going to be fit and healthy".

Sonia also gave a definition of insanity as being "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". Which she explained means that in order to change the results you have to change what you are doing. To me that means that in order to improve keep learning and if something doesn't work after you've given it a bit of time try something different.

I hope this helps you.

Take care.

It is okay for us all to believe in different things. This is not magic, just the power of the mind.

If you don't want to set an intention to the higher power you believe in then that is okay. If you don't believe that setting intention will work that is okay too. There are lots of other techniques you can try.

I have experience of using positive affirmations and so I can see how setting intentions can work.

Go with your gut instinct if it doesn't make sense or just doesn't feel right for you then don't try it. :-D

Take care and stay positive.
