I had someone comment about my profile picture recently and of how relaxing it looked. I decided to share for everyone. I was out kayaking for the first time and decided to take a break and clear my mind. As part of my journey, I wanted to make conscious efforts to go out and do things that can be relaxing and ease a lot of my anxiety. Anything to help me in check and aware of myself.
Without letting the worries, the constant fear or stress completely overwhelm us, we have the ability to see, touch and feel the beautiful things around us over all that. You can choose to be a part of that peaceful and beautiful scene at anytime. Like my therapist had told me before, you can take back the power to what you allow in. All the things you can't control we can only decide how we want to handle it. Every day I have to work at this, it's not easy.
