I'm new to group chat like this to get straight to the point I was married to my high school sweetheart for over 20 years. This last year he committed suicide in front of me. I still can't make myself think it was really on purpose I really do believe it was a careless mistake. I was within a foot of him when he left me. I have such bad flashbacks I'm on a few meds and in therapy. I've been diagnosed with PTSD just if anyone had had success with PTSD and if so please tell me what helped

PTSD
I am so sorry this has happened to you. I also suffer from PTSD. If you see a therapist I would recommend EDMR. It's has worked for my daughter and is strongly recommended for veterans. I use what I think is called sensory therapy. When I have a flashback I bring my self back to the present by using each of my senses. For example, if I am in kitchen I think about how it smells, how it feels, how it looks, and so forth. Eventually it becomes easier to pull yourself out of the panic and calm yourself.
Hi I am sorry to hear this and it sounds awful. There is a PTSD group on here so it might be a good idea to join them as well. Take care.
I am so sorry for your loss. I encourage you to seek help with your situation. Professional counseling helps alot
