Ok, I am trying to determine whether you are a woman or a man.

If you are a woman, you may even be biting your nails down to the "nubs". I did that when I was very young and saw how terrible my hands looked. I stopped. And started using a pale colored nail polish on my fingers. Every night I had to remove polish from one nail or another from the damage I had caused it or due to just everyday life.

If you can go to an inexpensive mani or pedi salon, have a manicure done. They will try to make the cuticles that you pick look better and polish your nails. If your budget allows, buy a bottle of the polish they used so it will match the touch ups at night daily you'll need to do to keep your nails looking good....or buy a color from a drug store you like and have the manicurist use it, so you can remove the polish on any finger that looks damaged at night and reapply the polish, and when it's dry use an oil or another moisturiser on your hands and fingers. Keeping your nails polished and letting your cuticles heal may make a difference when you go to pick at the cuticle....because your nails look so good and feminine.

As far as you picking at other scabs, etc. on your body...well, don't have a suggestion for that except don't do it....and your healing, polished nails fingers may make you think twice about the picking as you see how much better they look and the daily maintenance you must use to keep them that way. Really does help with your sense of self-pride as well as your anxiety. You'll see what I mean.

If you are a man, this basically applies to you too. Get a mani....don't need any nail color polish except for a clear strengthing polish that usually doesn't shine....the manicurist knows what to use. If you think men don't get manis...well you're out of touch...particularly if you work in an office handling paper......OR a tradesman where your hands often can get rough treatment...but don't expect a man to tell you they get a mani or use were good moisturizing lotion. Your hands are probably the first thing people notice about you if you work in an office, other than your face. Self-pride in appearance can really be a good motivator.

Best wishes to you.

I'm female but thanks for the reply. I went and had my nails done a few times and it completely helped the picking and biting. They were fake nails so since there thicker then my actually nails it was hard to pick at my face ect but I can't afford it every time but plane to do it as much as I can seeing as though it helps

Well, I wasn't talking about fake nails, I was trying to get you focused on keeping your attention on taking care of your own natural nails....as it takes some effort to do that. But as your cuticles begin to look better and heal, you know the daily small attention it takes, you would want your nails to look good more than you wanted to pick at them. :)
