How do you stay motivated? Make yourself feel human? Any tips would be SO appreciated. I am having so much trouble finding and keeping my 'umph' lately. Thanks :-)

I start by learning to validate myself and not seek approval from others. I listen to motivational speakers in the morning that literally scream in my ear to never give up. Self care is the hardest. I download CBT apps and journals/diary to my phone so that no matter where I'm at I have the comfort of having these close by and no one else needs to know. Try meditating. Stick with it even if you think it's not for you. It will pay off in small ways. Lastly, don't isolate!

I love this advice. Do you have any favorite CBT apps?

I have several CBT apps I would recommend. But each one offers new and different approaches for guidance and advice from articles and exercises using CBT. I would suggest going to your phone's playstore/app store and typing in CBT. Numerous apps will popup that gear themselves towards anxiety, depression, worry, obsessive thinking and CBT. Some aren't diagnose specific but what they all have in common is the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and how to learn, apply it, and practice it daily to get rid of negative thoughts and repetitious thoughts that keep us down. The level of understanding is a relief and there are numerous links to go to in addition to the one particular app. The best thing is if you feel that one isn't for you, just uninstall it. Some aren't free but most of my favorites have been. Try one called Pacifica. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply :-) I am looking for CBT topics through Google (I am not good with apps, lol! I am trying to learn though). This is amazing advice. Thanks again.

I am currently working on a website called The Mood Gym. It's lengthy and there may be some privacy issues you don't like. I agreed to them because the benefits of the app outweigh any privacy concerns I have. You might want to check it out. It's a little different but I've been working on it two hours and taking notes. It has helped. Google "The MoodGym: Training exercises", I think it will come right up. Good luck!
