Hello to everyone. I've only recently joined and have been just watching and reading posts for a while but i joined so i can try not to feel so alone and to maybe have some sort of outlet for my feelings, so have pulled on my brave pants to write a first post.
I have Depression and Anxiety, i take Citalopram, which has helped up until the last few months. Nowadays i just feel overwhelmed, low, anxious nearly all the time. Has anyone experienced their previously helpful medication having less effect? I trying to build up the courage to go back to my GP to ask for an increased dose.
Thank you for reading

Yes. I take wellbutrin and zoloft. Occasionally I would feel like myself again, but now, no. I don't feel as low as I did when I started medication, but I still feel fairly depressed: tired, no motivation, etc. I would suggest talking to your doctor, but also maybe a psychiatrist instead since their whole focus is on mental health. They may have more time for you and a better understanding of what pills are best for you, or what do going forward.
Thanks Boxi, I haven't heard of the meds you're on but I've tried Sertraline previously. That gave me dreadful heartburn all night, so bad I thought there was something physically wrong with me. It scared me so much I stopped taking it. You're right I do need to make myself go back to the GP, even though I hate going as I feel like a time waster!
