This may sound weird but I started putting on YouTube videos for my dog when we were getting ready to have a plane trip last year. I found the model of the plane that we would be riding in on YouTube and played it as we went to sleep every night, complete with kids talking in the cabin, for two weeks. I even managed to get the airport we would be leaving from ( you can find anything on YouTube). She did fantastic on the trip (normally nervous like her mom) and did not bark once. Now it actually soothes us both as a relaxation video.
