Slight Testosterone Increase While on Lupron/Zytiga

Hi all,

I've been on Lupron/Zytiga for exactly 1 year. Testosterone went from 650 to <5ng/dl in that timeframe. Now, for the first time in 11 months my Testosterone went from <5 to <12ng/dl. I know that's not much of an increase but wondering if the ADT effectiveness is fading. Could be difference in lab?

I was diagnosed in Aug 2021 with Stage 4 (Gleason 8-9) with 5 mets and PSA of only 1.39 at age 69. PSA currently <0.02 as it has been for 1 year. Prostate radiated for 25 sessions. PSMA PET scan now onlly shows 3 mets with slight shrinkage.

I hope ADT is still working. Anyone chime in on this?

As long as it has the less than symbol "<" it means that your level is below the level the lab can test for - so no change.

Less than 20 is the desirable level.

If it continues to rise whilst still below 20, do consider a different injection. My husband is now on Zoladex as Trelstar was not very effective. The beginning was this kind of a small increase. So do repeat test and keep an eye.

Apparently the lab no longer can measure below 12 so that's why it changed but thank you everyone for your input.
