While my side effects from the Firmagon and chemo are pretty mild, the hot flashes make it difficult to sleep. I saw something about a patch that can make them less intense. Does anyone have any experience with this and does the patch affect the ADT?

Estrogen patches make the ADT work better. You can get them made up to a prescription by a compounding pharmacy.
Hi, I used to have the same hot flashes as you. They really got on my nerves but I talked with my oncologist and he put me on a course of cyproterone tablets for a month and they worked wonders. Have to have a course every 3 months or so because it doesn't last forever but the relief was great. Hope this helps. All the best.
My Doctor put me on Effexor to help with the hot flashes and mild depression. Worked ok, but my daughter a nurse gave me a hand held fan that I used a lot. Battery rechargeable, got it from amazon. My wife had a fan that goes under the covers with a remote control. , Sleep naked and used the ceiling fan alway is a winner now. 🤪🤪🤪. Keep up the fight there warrior 🙏🙏🙏
Sage leaf extract (carnosic acid). Worth a try..been used for menstrual hot flushes and works really well for me. Also antioxidant and potential anti cancer..look it up. Regular dosage/ variable strength..I take 1800mg from 80mg of 20:1 extract morning an evening.
Been using estradiol patches for over 5 years now, they help greatly with hot flashes which used to be frequent and intense. Talk to your MO, they’re available with a prescription.
And if he says that they can cause cardiac issues he is referring to estrogen pills which were found to cause that in women. Estradiol patches are absorbed through the skin and don’t cause this issue.

I feel your pain/frustration/fatigue. It sucks.
Try medical marijuana - edible gummy with melatonin in it.

Gabapentin, prescribed for my foot neuropathy seemed to eliminate all of my hot flashes. Of course, one of the side effects is that you may start walking like the Hunchback of Notre Dame and have a sudden knowledge of Gothic Architecture.
I’ve been on Megace 20 mg daily for my hot flashes. It has helped me.
