Next Steps?
His statements were: 1) wait and watch to see if it spreads anywhere else. 2) Start
Firmagon
ADT again. 3) Start
Firmagon
ADT and do 25 radiation treatments of that area of my body. 4) Do focused radiation of the area where the lymph nodes are. He had reasons for all 4.

Lupron or Firmagon after Orgovyx
My RO is fine giving me one month shots of Lupron or
Firmagon
. He thinks they will have minimal effect on recovery. I could probably pay for the pills, but six grand is six grand. The
Firmagon
is an antagonist and the same mode of action as Orgovyx. That makes me lean toward it as a shot.

Alarming visit with Oncologist. How do we handle this? Another extremely time sensitive situation we were thrown into
Father started
Firmagon
Injections on Nov 10th and radiation Dec 12th (yesterday). 1. Urologist started him on
firmagon
on Nov 10th to prevent spread while awaiting further treatment. It seems to have worked.. CT Scan update today was that no far spread.

Now I'm really confused
Im concerned that the
Firmagon
failed after just 4 months and now I'm seeing xtandi seemingly stalling and I'm taking steps to plan out my next move.

Rather quick failing of Firmagon
Firmagon
brought it down to 13 but failed after just 6 months. Now on Orgovyx and Xtandi. My concern is the relative quick failing of
Firmagon
. Would this indicate that the Xtandi will also fail quickly? Thanks!

Finally makes sense
I started
Firmagon
about a year ago with great results for 5 months and then added Xtandi....Side effects from both were minimal due to weight training in gym 3x a week and aerobic running off days.

PSA is relatively low, but I am having bone pain in my pelvis and spine
Started out with
Firmagon
and 5 rounds of Taxotere. PSA went to 0.1. We switched from
Firmagon
to Orgovyx in August 2021. In January 2022 we added Nubeqa. PSA has held pretty steady around 0.1 - 0.3.

PSA increase in less than two months of ADT
He was given
Firmagon
(Degarelix 240mg) on Dec.2. His PSA dropped to 500 on Dec.28. He's been much better since. January 2: Second dose of
Firmagon
80mg. We finally got to see an oncologist two days ago, who recommends Zytiga and Chemo concurrently as soon as possible.

Xtandi vs. Zytiga
Firmagon
for a month, then Lupron since. Also Zytiga w/Prednisone. PSA went down to 1. Two months ago my liver enzymes started to rise. Took a one month vacation from Zytiga. Liver enzymes came back to normal. Resumed Zytiga 2 weeks ago at half dosage.

A few questions and advice desperately needed here , only one shot at this please help
Now that my father is on
firmagon
, if they don’t do the new CT scan and bone scan until 3 weeks from now is that okay? Assuming
firmagon
will prevent cancer spreading any further meaning the 3 week wait is nothing to be concerned about ? 3. If they decide he is not curable.

I'm 84 and diagnosed with PC 5 months ago. I was told I had High Risk Localized PC with a Gleason score of 8.
I have not consented yet because I was told at the outset that they favored
Firmagon
because Lupron caused a short-term rise in testosterone. My concern is that Lupron might cause a flare up even though I taken 4 months of
Firmagon
injections.

6 months in and ADT already failing
Firmagon
and Zytiga. Was scheduled to have surgery, but that's off the table since its spread to lymph nodes in neck region. Starting chemo next week. Looking for stories of hope. How long do we have? To know its already MCRPC is devastating.

When I looked it up on google, it stated it was for palliative treatment when Eligard and
Firmagon
fail. The Eligard seems to be working just fine. This confuses me because my PSA is still <0.01 as of September 2022. No Pain nor any known changes.

Can i switch to Eligard from Firmagon ?
My real question is I will be traveling overseas in a few months and my onc told me they can do a 3 months Eligard shot instead of
Firmagon
so I can travel with no worry.Apparently they do it from buttocks.Has anybody switched from
Firmagon
to Eligard ?? Which one is less painful ?

Using transdermal E2
Has anyone switched from using Lupron (or any 1st or 2nd level ADT, such as
Firmagon
, abiraterone, etc.) directly to transdermal E2? 2. Has anyone who has used it eventually become castrate resistant, as with ADT? 3.
