Would like to know if anyone had hormone therapy (firmagon) injected other than in stomach…last time it was uncomfortable…Thanks

However, Firmagon injection not scheduled by uroligist until 10/9. Can I take Nubeqa now before the Firmagon or SOC requires Nubeqa to be started post Firmagon injection? Thanks for your input.

The urologist started with first injection of Firmagon with Nubeqa and before the end of 28 days wants to switch from Firmagon to Lupron with Nubeqa. I was under impression that Firmagon is better at getting the job done than Lupron? Why switch?

i am trying to schedule a holiday and would like to know if it is bad to be 3 days late on my Firmagon shot or/ and if I can be 3 days early .Does anyone know ? Thanks

Another question, his red blood cells dropped after he started Firmagon. There seems to be some disagreement amongst his doctors as to whether the Firmagon could be causing this. Does anyone have any experience with this?

NEOADJUVANT THERAPY; Firmagon plus Apalutamide (erleada) for 3 months. John’s Hopkins surgeon said the exact same radiation treatment, including the Brachytherapy However, pre-medicate with firmagon and Xtiga 3 months. BOTH RADIOLOGIST AND SURGEON DEEMED ME FAVORABLE CANDIDATE FOR SURGERY .

A few months back I pointed out the ironic brand name Firmagon to my nurses, and now they have to joke about the name at every implant session. Last month we got to tossing around names that were rejected by the marketing team at Ferring Pharmaceuticals.

He switched from Casodex to Darolutamide, which he started on 9/5/24 and also received his first Firmagon injection around the same time. At today's appointment (9/24/24), they switched from Firmagon to Lupron injections.

MO wants to start Firmagon on Sept 23rd. Also will be extending ADT from 6 months now to 9 months. I have not seen anyone have this issue before. These number are very distressing as you all know who have PCa.

After approx. month of Doublet therapy with Firmagon & Nubeqa PSA (Oct 2024)down from last test in August 2024 335 to 32 and T down to 13. When I started I was ADT naive.

My husband started Firmagon shots a month ago. Before starting his PSA was 5.9. It was tested a few days ago and it’s 1.4 now. Does this tell us anything of any significance? Thanks!

Hence I am wondering if I should switch to Firmagon and see if they drop more. Do testosterone and PSA numbers drop more once an ARPI is added ?

I've been on ADT for about 9 months, although I did go about 30 days without anything after doctor discontinued Firmagon and then Zytiga severely elevated my liver enzymes. Right now I've been back on Firmagon for about 6 weeks and Casodex for about 30 days.

Has anyone taking Firmagon been allowed to self-administer their shot?

He’s on monthly Firmagon injections. He had a blood test on Thursday when he got his injection and white blood cell count and urea nitrogen were normal so I’m not sure if it is an infection. As a female I know what a UTI feels like but not sure if this is the case with him.

Premedicate with Firmagon and ERLEADA (3 months prior) John's Hopkins surgeon and radiologist both say I am a candidate for surgery or radiation, radiologists suggest same plan as above except using ADT plus Xtiga. (stampeed trial).

However I started on Orgovyx on June 19th and then I was switched to Firmagon and had the loading dose of that on August 28th.

My dad becomes very depressed and tearful the week following his Firmagon injections. His doctor has offered antidepressants, but he refuses. He said they will make him more fatigued, although he has never been on them.
