#25DayChallenge - almost forgot to post

So much going on, I almost forgot to post!

My walk was early morning, as the sun was shining and we had had an extra hour for snoozing!

So first thing in the morning was of course coffee! Then walk! Then a community indoor row (connected online via YouTube live and EXR).

Then shower, protein smoothie and a bit of work.

And now I am so keen to hop onto my new treadmill, but my glutes are feeling it, today. And when wondering why, I realised it is likely that it was because of yesterday’s treadmill walking, as I had set the treadmill at a permanent 2% incline. And although I spent at the most 15 min on there, it’s 15 min at a constant 2% and I presume my glutes are only now getting used to that? (My treadmill does not do automatic inclines, but depending if you fold the feet one way or the other, it can be switched between 0% or 2%.)

(UPDATE: I realised later it was 3%! No wonder my glutes felt it. I’ll have a permanent hill within my own home! 😁)

Anyway, nuff said about my new toy!

Hope all have been using the uk morning sunny weather for walks, as the whole afternoon was dreary and rainy!

Happy walking, everyone!

Some days I've just been too tired, I wish they'd hurry up with my iron infusions then I will have more energy

I’ve never had iron infusions but I do take iron supplements. But I assume infusions are much more effective and for larger doses?

I'm very anaemic and supplements wouldn't be enough but it's hard waiting knowing once done I'll start to have more energy and be less breathless so I can start running again

I can commiserate. Hope it will happen soon!

Well done! Hope your glutes recover soon - plenty of stretches should do it!

We were lucky - the Devon coast had glorious warm sunshine all day! Love the sun and shadows in your photo. Your new toy sounds great, especially good if weather inclement. 👍😊

Nice! Rainy here today, but we saw a rainbow this morning.

Yes, treadmill comes with dry, but shaded, no wind but medium temperatures! 🤣 and a constant hill. (I could put the 3% to 0%, but thought if I leave it at 3% it will do me good. )

Thank you!

I think I read somewhere that it’s better all round to set the treadmill at a slight incline…not have it flat.

Yes, that’s my thinking too, although the advice generally is to set it to 1-1.5%. So 3% is significantly higher, but I think I’ll try it, as I then don’t have to fuff around with folding up and down the legs, and I’d rather shorten durations of workouts then get used to 0% incline. But I’ll have to see how it feels. I’ll report back, I’m sure,
