I’ve had a stinking cold and felt better enough to get out for a brisk walk today. It was a weird one. I’d planned to do a look up and down some lanes past some extra cute calves. Unfortunately, halfway up the lane, I couldn’t pass a tractor trimming hedges so I had to turn back. I ended up passing my house which was fortuitous. I ditched my warm coat and thick jumper for a running top and thin fluro jacket. I diverted up onto another route I know well. Up a steep path and onto a long and windy lane covered with leaf litter.
After half an hour, I was feeling great and decided to start running slowly. The route I’d planned was blocked again, this time by a police car diverting traffic away from an accident. I found another way past some very muddy looking cows and back to the village. Half an hour of running at dusk hit the spot and I walked home in the dark.
On my first walk, I came across this ghostly scene. It looked like some of the Halloween pumpkins have taken a battering! Anyone with information, please contact the police…
