#Photowalk Nov : Ghostly

Here we are, mid-month and it’s time for another #photowalk!

On your next walk, take a picture of something that looks “ghostly”.

Hello, all walkers and hikers, strollers and roamers! We’ve had some glorious achievements recently with a few 1000Miles completed!

Yey! And well done.

But the weather is getting grim, cold and miserable.

And fitting to the season, my Halloween was spent in rain and drizzle. And the pumpkins I still spot are mushy and squished, some cardboard ghosts ghostly fading away.

So, although on sunny days, the colours on the leaves are just gorgeous, today, in this drizzly, wet and cold weather, the cold mysteriously finds your coldest parts, and everything is torn hither and tether, weaving ominously with the wind and everything looks ghostly haunted.

And that brings me to this month's photo challenge:

Can we capture that haunted, drizzly look? That ghostly view? That spooky shadow beyond that tree? Or do you still spot some remnants of Halloween ghosts past?

So, on your next walks, take a picture of something that looks “ghostly”.

I did not have my camera with me but on two occasions recently I was walking and running in fog, not dense fog but with the sun shining through the trees and the fog being quite thick there was that ghostly feeling a bit like Halloween. I am not sure if you have heard of the "Brocken Spectre", it's caused by a person standing on top of a hill with sunlight behind you and your own shadow in the fog below, I saw that when I was standing at the top of a hill when I was out walking recently. The Brocken is a mountain in the Hertz range of hills in East Germany where this happens a lot and was first observed many years ago.

Yes, me too. I need to go out hunting for some great pics as well. Have been a bit lazy with my camera, just walking, running or recording audio but only taking very few pics. So this is a good one to get stuck in.
