I let the dogs decide which turns to take the other day and they walked alongside an old farmhouse that had poppies growing all along the base of the wall, like weeds but so much better! Repeating poppies.

Me too - it's the right time of year I know, and they're everywhere in fields and gardens, but these were just growing out of the bottom of the wall, no way to plant them there, the birds or the wind must have blown seeds, just unexpected and lovely.

They just shout “look at me.”

I have lots of the Welsh poppies in my garden, they self seed too.
