Well I got another walk in...unfortunately, not outside though !
Grey sky and rain hitting the windows. The weather, forecast, for dry and calm, turned out to be wet, wild and windy and generally a step too far for this little old snail.
So.... after three weeks in post Covid recovery. there are stirrings of something. When you listen to your body regularly, you hear what it says. My body has begun to whisper to me.... very quietly but whispering. It is telling me things and I am listening
So... I needed a walk.... outdoors not an option. so, I decided to use one of my favourite indoor workouts. The only thing is they can be pacey and really get you moving... errr...no!
But... I found one that I thought might suit... Lesley Sansome, ( favourite of mine), is oddly, a great go to for a walking workout... and I found a beginners one mile walk... okay.
The warm up went well..... and the walk... well, better than I thought... I walked, I stepped, I kicked and I walked some more. I managed 20 minutes comfortably...slightly pacey but not overly... arms engaged and breathing steady.... after twenty minutes.... I decided that it was enough at that pace. I felt fine and could have gone on, but I decided to be sensible.
I finished the walk and did Day 10 of Yoga with Adriene's Yoga for January Day 10 ( I am a day behind), and it proved a perfect wind-down after the walk. Energised, yet relaxed and ready to face the day.
Another step closer to me.... ? I hope so
Happy walking folks, indoors or out

What a lovely picture which looks like the snail has an umbrella! Beautiful! Sounds like you had a perfect walk/wind down, OF! Great idea you had there!
I’m chafing at the bit. My son asked me to help him with his pc this morning and now he’s unavailable to watch Hubby while I run. Hubby just had a lot of food and is napping; I’m wondering if I could relocate his nap to the car on the driveway while I run, but it seems to be infeasible. AND it’s late afternoon when my gumption for running has flagged AND I’m a little hungry. If I don’t run, this will be the second day of not running when I was scheduled. I didn’t run yesterday because I had just gotten a Covid booster and thought it might be better if I waited an extra day.
I'm sat here on my own thinking I need to do something, an indoor walk might just be it.So glad you are recovering and wanting to do something once again
This is a lovely post. I rarely think about walking indoors. I’m adding that to my repertoire of rainy day options. YWA sounds like a really good one this time around. To be fair, it usually is! Yoga is so great for making you feel relaxed and also full of energy which seems utterly contradictory!
So glad you’re getting back to feeling like yourself again. Long may that continue! 🐌❤️🚶♀️
I have used indoor walking before.. .. The L S sessions are pacey and fun and do make you work. She does varied distances and pace too, and it is not just walking moves, there are a range of arm work and leg work included... not an easy option... I have used them simply as an extra workout or whatever.
Yesterday I just felt I could try and it worked... I stopped before I got tired and finished off with my Yoga for the day. The Yoga is really good this time
When I am on form, I love some of the fun dance workouts too... so much fun and they also reach body parts that other strength and stamina exercise do not reach..
CBDB included one of my Christmas favourites in a past Advent challenge last year...that was to a Britney song... I also love an outdoor one... by Caleb Marshall too....This one to Katy Perry Cozy Little Christmas ! Be warned .. he is out there
Needless to say, with Covid as a dance partner I did not do it this year! They are so over the top which is great fun!!!
But.. I am not ready for those yet ! It is just good to be feeling more like me again...
