Hi have had to give up running , hopefully not forever as hip sore with osteoporosis and scared I damage it further. Have done a lot of walking instead. Try and do a 5 km about 49 mins every day except Sunday which is longer 10 /11 km at a brisk walk. I walked last Sunday in 1 hour 44 min for a 11 km as walking meant to help bones, so hoping this will strengthen legs hip and back .
Happy walking π

Dear Doris8, Iβm sorry at what you are going through - wanting to be healthy, but challenged by the osteoporosis. May I suggest something - be kind to yourself and keep even walking to a level that doesnβt cause you pain in the bones. Something more gentle like yoga could help you keep fit as well as increase energy levels. Sending you a big hug
Thank you. Walking doesnβt seem to cause pain in the bones it seems to be the impact of the jogging that bothers the hip. I enjoy walking and have been doing gentle stretches. π€
