Hi all, I haven't written for a while but things are going ok, I'm walking further now and as of yesterday I've lost my first stone. (Only another 4 to go lol) I'm giving myself one year to get to my goal but until then, onwards and upwards. Have a great day all.

That is excellent! Very well done to you!

Please could you share any words of wisdom? Any changes you have made, the distance you walk and how regular? Absolutely anything would be a great help.

Many Thanks

Hiya, I started by trying to do far too much and got a bit discouraged by my poor fitness level. I was getting severe back pain when I walked and had to rethink my strategy. I addressed my poor nutrition and realized that I ate far too much carbohydrate so started to eat more healthy about 7 weeks ago. I also bought some kitchen scales and found out I vastly underestimated how much I ate! I've steadily lost 2lb per week which is encouraging. I have also gradually increased the distance I walk and although I still get some back pain it is nowhere near as bad as before. I have learnt not to overdo things to start with but to build up gradually. I have also started swimming again. I have still got a long way to go but I am getting excited about the future.
