Good walk today

Well, thanks to my talented chiropractor and anti inflammatories (which I hate taking!) I had a really good walk today. I had to go to the post office and with bad weather forecast for the weekend, I decided to venture out in the showers and get the job done this afternoon. I resisted the temptation to take the car and am so glad I did! I walked 3400 steps - a bit slower than usual, but without a break, except for standing in the queue at the parcel counter. The wind dropped on the way back and it was really pleasant - I enjoyed being out in the fresh air!

That’s the spirit. Very inspirational and impressive.

Thanks svgeeks - glad I did go out because the weather's shocking this morning!

Well done that's a good number of steps. Anti inflammatories aren't the best to take, but it's good they are doing their job by reducing the pain and helping you to get out. I too went out yesterday after work. It was a lovely day here and with the threat of the snow (which I can now see out the window) I put on my boots and went to the woods. It was a bit muddy but good to get out there.

Thanks Mazzy00 - the snow's coming down here too! The wind is howling and it looks very unpleasant out there! So I'm really glad I went out yesterday - I reckon you're glad you did too!

Well done on that walk Kay, you never stop amazing me how you are progressing. We are Covered in snow here today, I am really over winter and ready for spring now 😀.

I know - it's nearly Easter and we're still getting snow! I'm really pleased that I'm nearly back to normal - I want to get back to doing some quick walking again! But I haven't forgotten your mantra! Slow and steady it is!:)

Well done you. The weathers deplorable by me too and it would be potentially depressing if you stayed in rather than braving it. It's not usually as bad as the thought of it is and it's nice to get back into the warm.

I went into town with my wife and my youngest girl which was intrepid but whipped up a nice curry when we got in.

Thanks mdr1000 - you're right, once you get out it's really not too bad! I made chicken soup!!

Great step count Kay. Rocking and rolling!

Thanks runswithdogs - I must admit it was good to wander away from the bus route, at last!

3400 steps is better than no steps at all.

That it is - and for me it's a really good tally!
