Today for the first time I walked all of park run. It felt great to be out there setting off with eveyone. I was talking to a lady that does the Norman Park one in Bromley and she was saying how many walkers they have in that one. I was the only walker in mine today. Anyone else doing Parkrun walking out there?

Park run walk today.
No I've not taken part in this but I am doing a Santa Fun Run in a couple of weeks but will be power walking it and not running. I damaged my knee earlier this year and am under a physiotherapist so can't run, albeit that doesn't bother me as I am a fast walker through and through. Walking so you are slightly out of breath is as good for you.
Well done for getting out there.

Sorry about your knee. Santa run sounds great, it has always been on my to do list that one, they just seem like so much fun. Please let us know how you get on I am sure you will fly past with your power walking.
Ah it's not a problem, I'm having the physio and will soon get over it. I'll try and remember to post on here how the Santa Fun Run goes.
Well done to you on your walking, keep it up

I'm volunteering as tail walker Saturday, and as tail walker on December 30th. For our Parkrun, it all depends on the weather. In the summer we are getting quite a few walkers out which is lovely. But when the weather dips quite low our numbers drop substantially, so the tail position has the option to do a bit of running. We tend to go all winter, which means some events are lower than -20C.
I'm going on "Maggie's Culture Crawl Edinburgh 2018" to raise money for the Maggie's centres. But it's not till September 2018, so plenty of time to get myself fit. Though not quite sure what a Culture Crawl is... ? Anyone on here been on one?
