Yesterday's little walk to the doctors' surgery was so good - I've been scared to go anywhere except the chiropractor or doctor (by car) since I injured myself in February! I managed to get a few short walks in till about 10 days ago, but nothing since then. I took it really easy and don't seem to be any worse today - stiff, but no more so than usual - so I'm going to go out again this morning! The thaw has come at the right time for me, I've got confidence that I won't fall - and I've had enough of looking at four walls. I go to the chiropractor again tomorrow, so if I do any damage at least I won't have long to wait for some help! Realfoodieclub's mantra - slow and steady - is right in the front of my mind, so I'll be walking the bus route again and fully plan to walk as far as is comfortable and then catch the bus back - no heroics today!

Cabin Fever!
Glad you're feeling a little better Kay - slow and steady is the way to go. Fully understandable that you are sick of the four walls at home, once we get used to our outings and the fresh air and scenery it's demoralizing to get benched for a bit. Happy walking, and let us know how it goes.
Thanks runswithdogs - just had a meandering stroll today, if I'm honest, but it was so good to get out!?! Did 3200 steps, but really at a snail's pace. I've now lost 36 lbs and found out today that my back supports no longer support! I need to buy a size smaller asap. I still have high hopes of getting stronger as I lose more weight and get fitter, taking significant stress off the back. Here's hoping!
Great to hear you're feeling a little better and getting out there. Hope you enjoyed your walk.
Thanks Mazzy00 - I'm going through a really low patch just now. Sick of going one step forward, two steps back, so I absolutely appreciate the support! Thank you!
Well done for trying!
Thanks jo080448 - I'm really so grateful for your encouragement. Thank you!
