Phew! Did it! Over 10000 steps a day for the last week. I came home from work and went out to make sure I reached my goal. The weather was kind to me most of the time and it was quite nice walking at dusk I just made sure I was wrapped up. Not sure whether I will carry on next week.......

Well done, Mazzy00, you have achieved a lot this week! You have proven that you are totally determined to become healthier and fitter - good for you! If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed by the mega number of steps you have set yourself, perhaps a goal of fewer steps this week would be good? I've had to pitch my goal at going out three times a week, as I just can't manage much more than that - although if I do get out more often it's a real bonus!!

Yes thank you, you are so right, I think I need to tone down my goal this week. I did go out this evening, it was so mild out there and I had a nice brisk walk to make up my 10000.

Mazzy,

That is awesome! I try and walk that amount every day and it feels great. There are times during the walk it is hard, but I manage, while other times I have no problems. I like the screen shot you have posted what app on your phone do you use?

Hi Schele, good luck with your walking it's a great thing to do, I do a lot of my steps at work then go out early evening to make sure I reach my 10000 and while I feel motivated and the weather is good I will probably carry on.

The screen shot is from my Fitbit which I love, I find it very motivating. I use the App 'Map my Walk' when going for longer walks it tracks where you've been how many steps/miles, gradient and much more.

That's an amazing step count this week, well done you! Why not add all your steps / kms to the moon challenge or check out your minutes and put them on that challenge on Monday... every step and every minute counts so join the challenge... will try and find the links for you...
