Most of these groups have a regular walking programme.
For example, my local group has Sunday day walks, Wednesday evening walks in summer (slideshows and talks in winter) as well as weekends away and social events.

That sounds like a great resource. I do find it amazing what around when you start sharing.
Oh yes, also a monthly Thursday walk. How could I forget that, I just went out to buy butty stuff for my lunch tomorrow
