Alendronic Acid

I’ve been diagnosed with Osteopenia. About 7 months ago I was given vitamin d and calcium tablets which I am fine with. I was also given Alendronic acid which makes me feel very lethargic for a couple of days after taking. Has anyone else experienced this. I’m virtually at the point of deciding not to take this anymore. Can anyone share their experience.

I also recently started taking this, 5 weeks ago, after being on Prednisolone for PMR/GCA. I know that some people I know had also decided to stop taking it for similar reasons. I don’t like the way it makes me feel either, but I guessed I needed to stick with it, so I am also interested to hear what others think about the side effects.
