I am 21 and have chest pressure and tightness (although I do suffer from anxiety and am used to having tension) I have burning stabbing feeling in my stomach accompanied by tightness and nausea around my upper abdomen/ sternum.
Is this severe acid reflux or am I having a heart attack?

I wouldn’t waste a trip to hospital as I don’t think a heart attack is likely I just get freaked out. It is reassuring to know you suffer from the same thing (sounds very similar) I bought some gaviscon so I’ll try that. Thanks x
Oh god it’s horrible.. but with any chest pain it’s always best especially if it’s bad to get it checked out..
but yeah acid reflux is seriously horrible.. there’s a virus knocking around that’s affecting the stomach at the moment a few people are suffering with acid and stomach problems.. the nurse who came to visit me had the same xx
Yeah I think Iv probably got that cause Iv a chests infection I’m pretty sure. Had a phlegm cough for like a month now and was waking me up at night and stuff. That’s probably contributing to everything 🙄x
I wasn’t prescribed them as such but my dad gave me Amimoxcillin he had. He didn’t help unfortunately ☹️ yes they do give you a bad tummy but haven’t took them in a few days now and still have unsettled tummy so think it’s acid reflux x
Have you got IBS ? Have you ever been prescribed buscopan ? That’s pretty good for those cramps and pain.. bloating etc.. I have had them but I get a bit light headed after taking them.. I’m really sensitive to medication though honestly..
my mum and sister swear by it.. I use gaviscon for my acid reflux but the nurse recommended rantide.. x
I know but thank you for commenting and giving me so reassurance! Hope you can sleep with it, affects me all day lately and mine is stress related aswell if that’s what it is 😓
