4 week cough and now swollen ankle in two places

Had a slight cold / sore throat which began 1 month ago with a cough , cough still there - hacking and dry cough , productive clear / white phlegm . Now cold and sore throat have gone after first week - left with cough - worse when lying on my left side - sounds like a bark .

yesterday leg was aching , noticed x2 swollen areas either side of the ankle - have rested overnight and not gone down , still there this morning, any suggestions please

Ask the doctor for a blood test. I had a swollen calf muscle and thought I might have a DVT I went to A&E and it was a insect bite. I felt such an idiot but you can never be too careful so get it checked out

🤔These 2 symptoms (persistent cough and swollen ankles)….could be significant…..make an appointment with your GP for peace of mind.

Hi Cath, are you on antibiotics and steroids for that cough as you shouldn't still have it if you are. Steroids can make your ankles swell up if you have been on them for some time. Best to see a doc about it all. Take care x

hi I haven’t been on antibiotics or steroids, they won’t give me them when I went to see Gp after 2 weeks , the ankle swelling is new , I’ve rested , put ice and elevation but still the same and aches
