period dilemma

I came off the pill in April & since then I have been having very irregular periods, which was expected, some bleeding 3x a month, some bleeding twice a month. I finished my last period on Friday last week & today (Saturday) the following week, have started again. But with excruciating cramps, but light brown bleeding, normally I’m very heavy. Does anyone have any suggestions of what it could be? The doctors aren’t being very helpful at all. I am having unprotected sex with my partner, but when doing a pregnancy test 2 weeks ago was negative. Any suggestions will help.

if your GP isn't concerned about anything medical I'd try not to worry. It can take women women up to a year for periods to settle after using the pill in my experience.
