Hi, I had uterine polyp removal in December and have a distended stomach/bloating since then. What could be the reason and what should I do? Thank you!

Hi,

No one told me that you would get swelly belly after any abdo surgery - but you do. It will probably be worse later in the day - and I used to find it was bad if I did a lot of walking. It lasted about 12 months after my first abdo surgery and post-hysterectomy it was roughly 18 months to 2 years. But it does go as everything heals and settles down. I can remember after my first surgery been asked when the baby was due - I was mortified! Hope you feel better soon!
