I am on the pill and have endometriosis and following a scan recently found I have a 3cm fibroid And small cyst.
This last month I have bled during my pill pack quite a lot. I went to the doctor and we have changed my pill. What I have realised that I have started running again is that after I have run I then bleed for a couple of days. Has anyone else had this?
Yes. It started happening to me last year. I also have a small fibroid but they couldn't remove it because of its position. I've been through hell with this as my periods have also got so heavy (I am 45 so probably perimenopause). They put me on the mini pill. I am still getting periods but hoping they are slowing down a bit. Completely stopped running which is really depressing and can't wait to get this sorted.

I have come off my pill completely and haven’t had any bleeding whilst running. My periods are heavy so they have given me transamic acid to take first few days however I haven’t used yet as can manage them. I have endometriosis so have gone on an anti inflammatory diet which has helped a lot and I just don’t really run the first few days of my period. How have you got on?
That's good. They gave me transexamic acid too and it works but I try not to take it much because I am scared of blood clots. Look into ibuprofen for heavy periods as this works so well and is even on the nhs website but I didn't know about it until recently.
They put me on the mini pill and I was hoping I'll be one of the lucky ones whose periods stop completely but not such luck. Been on it for 3 months and will give it another 3. They are not anywhere near as heavy and unmanageable as they were but I am bleeding lightly or spotting a lot more often now. Haven't ran for 4 months and really miss it. Braved 1km on the treadmill and was dreading it but although I was finishing a period, I didn't bleed more afterward. Hoping they'll settle soon and I can start running again.
Have you tried the coil? I can’t use it as makes my skin bad but alternative to mini pill and some of my friends swear by it
It has been suggested but it scares me, plus most of my friends bled on it for ages. But if this doesn't work, I will try a different mini pill and maybe consider it. Thank you and happy running
