Hello, I was told I had a cyst in my right ovary in June 2022. The doctor said it wasn't anything to worry about and to follow up if I had further symptoms.
Should there be a follow up to this? Doctors haven't been very forthcoming..
thanks!

Make sure you are eating enough iodine in your diet I have a pinch of organic green sea kelp every day
I was also diagnosed with an ovarian cyst…and didn’t get any follow up.
If I start to get unusual pain I will go back to my GP.
sorry to be late on this, I had an ovarian cyst for many years (10+) but it grew slowly bit by bit, some will resolve on their own, mine didn't
I would suggest requesting a follow up maybe once a year when you do your smear test or if you ever have to have an ultrasound for another reason, ask them to check.
Mine ended up having to be removed - it got to the 12+ cm in diameter before my operation, I had totally forgotten I had it, but found an old ultrasound from 10 years ago for something else where they mentioned it (at 2.5cm). I can't say for certain that it was the same cyst, as it could have resolved and then got another one, but the likelihood is that it's the same one that carried on growing.
It never caused me any big problems but after having it removed quite a few things are better (breathing is better, less stomach and digestive issues which seem to have been caused just by the sheer size of it moving organs as it grew or pushing on them), I would advise staying on top of it if possible.
