Paratubal cyst

SO just found out that the cyst they thought was on my ovary is a paratubal cyst . It’s causing pain on the right side but can’t get in so have a ultra sound until June 6th ( I live in Canada) I have also been having irregular periods and this last one started April 9th and is still going on 3 weeks later , very draining :( . Had very heavy flow and clots on the weekend but it has tapered off now . Went to my gp this morning he believes the heavy periods are related to perimenopause, so my question is is there anykind of supplements I can take to help me feel a bit more human again ?

If your period has been heavy, you might be anaemic, so an iron supplement & some B complex vitamins might help you feel better. Don't take ferrous fumarate which will upset your digestion, or anything containing artificial sweeteners. Look for something more gentle such as ferrous sulphate or ferrous bisglycinate. I'm fine with Floradix, which is expensive, or cheaper Ferroglobin liquid. Both of those contain some other supplements which is why they'r e a bit dearer than just iron alone. Eat some fresh fruit & vegetables as iron can cause constipation, & is best absorbed with vitamin C.

Make sure you're eating well to get the bet nutrients & micronutrients to help your body.

Hope the GP & gynaecologist do something to help you feel better soon!

Well you were right I think as I just came home from work and almost passed out at work , was pale and my lips were purple , saw spots when looking around at work and sweating , I did start to feel better and didn’t pass out but my husband came and got me and now I am on the couch and my colour has returned and I just have a headache . The bleeding is not as heavy as it was but is still there but I wonder if it’s the cyst or actual menstrual bleeding . My GP didn’t seem to concerned when I told him everything on Thursday 😡 this is the first time I was angry with him . I can’t get another ultrasound until June 6th which will be after I have my gallbladder removed and won’t even see the gynocologist until August ☹️It all makes me want to cry

Sorry you're still poorly.

Do you have a female doctor that you could see in future? They can be more sympathetic about women's problems.

Unfortunately no .... but the gymocologist is female I just wish I could get to see her sooner . Until then I got my husband picking me up supplements and lots of green veggies . Have to be careful what I eat as certain things upset my gallbladder ☹️ Right now I would honestly rather have this cyst dealt with first . If it’s bigger I have read that it can be pushing on my uterus causing uterine bleeding so maybe this isn’t even s prolonged period at all ... all very draining and of course o am super busy at work , it’s our Mother’s Day coming up next weekend and I work in s flower shop , so lots of lifting AND we are moving in two months 😕... when it rains it pours ...I am thinking of calling the gynaecologist and seeing if there is a possibility of getting in any sooner

It's worth asking if the gynaecologist will contact you if she has a cancellation.

Hope you get help soon!
