I did see someone I said I wanted to have it done I’m just someone who is scared and worried what will happen my aniexty just kicked it when I went in the room to get it done

aww it can be very daunting when in that situation. Especially if you haven’t been before. If it helps at all, I’ve been to a clinic before and have been several times since for smears ect. It feels so intrusive but when you come away knowing you have answers. It would be better to see an expert than general advice though to be honest because untreated conditions can cause more harm the longer you leave it.

Hope you find the answer because it is frustrating and irritating living with and painful vagina (mine is ongoing).

(nowhere else I can share that lol 😆)

🤔You won’t know exactly what the problem is ..if you don’t have an examination by a doctor.

Guessing and self medicating could make things worse..far better to have peace of mind, no matter how embarrassing it is

they wanted to give me one of those but I’m one of those is scared of what would happen and worried about what the results would be like whether it would be Postive 🥺🥺

🤔Positive……..Are you worried it might be an STI

Don’t let embarrassment and fear put you off getting peace of mind..far better not to let this go on. There are other reasons for pain occurring in the vagina..it doesn’t need to be an infection. 🙂 Have courage and get it sorted

I worried myself unnecessarily for years, enduring horrendous pain monthly, before I eventually found out I had adhesions around my ovaries. I had my appendix out as a young child and that was the cause..

Most surgeries have female doctors. They are very understanding of intimate problems, probably more so than a male doctor might be.

Ring your surgery and ask for an appointment with a lady doctor.

they did want to have a look but I’m nervous of people looking there because I’m just scared of what people will do that’s all I’m scared of and I’m also scared of how painful it would be due to me being in pain anyway like right now 🥺

Stephanie, you are a woman now, and for the rest of your reproductive life and beyond will go through a variety of examinations at the doctors as a matter of course just because you are a woman.

It’s nothing to be scared about, in fact the scariest thing of all is your imagination.

You are no different to the rest of us, we all have bits that may occasionally need seeing to and I f, during an examination it starts to hurt just open your mouth and tell them, no one wants to hurt you, but sometimes pain can’t be avoided because it tells the doctor a great deal about what the problem might be.

So as they say…pull up your big girl pants and get yourself along to your doctor, you might even be surprised about how non-scary it was in the end.

We are all rooting for you, xxx

the nurses I went to they said they was gonna refer me to someone near my area instead of the place I went to because they came to my brother and said that I couldn’t get it done because of how uncomfortable I felt taking down my trousers 🥺but I haven’t heard nothing about anyone else trying to help me 🥺x

I had pain with sex at 18. I had adenomyosis and wasn't diagnosed until I was 28. They told me pain was in my head. Because they couldn't see anything. I know it is hard to see the doctor with this kind of problem. Bring someone with you that you trust. I was married at 20 and found they listened much better with my husband there. Sad but true to this day. Amazing to me how much difference it still makes. Someone just holding your hand makes a big difference. Take deep breaths during the exam, in through your mouth, slowly out through your nose. Even if they don't figure out something, doesn't mean there isn't a problem. Keep reading and searching until you get a good answer and the help you need. No sense in useless suffering. I and thousands of other women have survived these invasive exams and tests, you can too. I know it is really hard. That's what doctors are supposed to be there for. Don't let them intimidate you. I know, easier said then done. I hope it is something simple. Hangest thou in there!!

That is so frustrating! If they don't get back within a week- call them back. Sorry to say- the sweaky wheel gets the grease. You'd think in our day and age that doctors would have their acts together, I am now 61 and I think it is worse now. So sorry - hang in tbere!
