So I've been feeling like I need to yawn to get a satisfying breath for over a week now, doctors tell me its anxiety. They have said to go for a chest xray to be sure but I feel like I get out of breath eady just been doing housework, hoovering and mopping the floors and i was sweating and out of breath has anyone else experienced this and know what it could be? I'm really scared now i just want to be normal again

Have you had your b12 and iron checked, also thyroid all of these can cause breathlessness but do have xray to rule anything out.

Low iron or anemia can definitely cause that. For now pull your lower eyelid down, if it is pale your low in iron. Your doc needs to run iron, ferritin..the whole works & You need to see the results. If you're at the lower end of normal it can still bother you.

I think they use the anxiety word when they don't know or don't care.

I'm going to ring back today I had a chest xray they said it could take up to 7 days for results! I cant handle this feeling for another 7 days. I have pulled my eyelid and its red not pale

I would still ask for bloodwork. I've learned something the hard way...waiting for this test & that test & doctors. Just ask now. It depends on where your looking under your lid..kinda tricky..google it. Good luck

Big hugs to you, I hope you manage to get some answers.

I have had a covid test (negative) then I had a chest xray, they said that was satisfactory and no further action there.

I'm at a loss now and had constant panic attack through it. Im at a loss now I'm terrified of drs and hospitals so it's a bit hard to have many other tests done bloods scare me too much I always run out the room.

I am seeing gp tomorrow, but i think all this physical symptoms are link to anxiety. I feel that i need to talk to someone.(therapist maybe)

But i will ask for blood test just to be sure. I will keep you posted, take care

Hi Lilly24, i just wanted to update you. So after 2min phone call with my gp explaining my symptoms (breathless, shaky, dizzy etc) he told me to go to A&E just to be sure.

That was the best thing i done. After having blood tests and ecg the docktor told me my results are perfect, just like from medical book(his words).

I literally started to cry and could not stop, and told him how i feel how much i worry, In that moment a weight was lifted of my shoulders. All this physical symptoms were actually psychological symptoms.

He reassured me that many people feel this way in this situation. He suggested to start to walk or run or do yoga(i went for 30min walk this morning)

I suggest that you speak to someone, and take it all out, cry if you want, it did help me a lot.

Today i feel good, no shortness of breath no heavy chest.

Please speak to your gp and get help. You will see that just to talk to some professional you feel better.

Good luck hope that you feel better!

Heyy manexh,

Awww that is fabulous news! I am so happy for you.

Funny you should say that I have spoken to the dr had a cry to myself and realised how stressed I have been lately, he is sending me for more scans after the lung scan came back clear.

The breathing has calmed down a hell of a lot for me i have also been going out walking pushing myself to get out and motivated and it has really helped. I'm having some scans tomorrow for precaution but with a bit luck they come back clear and I can focus on trying to get proper help instead of trying to deal with it all alone.
