I’ve had thrush a few times, and I know how miserable this can make you feel. It could be that your GP needs to test you further..for example your symptoms could be due to a general overgrowth of Candida, if so a change in diet (cutting out yeast and sugar, cutting down on carbohydrates) and taking Probiotic supplements could help enormously.
While 75% of women will get at least one yeast infection in their lifetime, up to 8% get more than four a year. They're called recurrent yeast infections when they happen over and over. If you're one of those women, you and your doctor might need to take a different approach.16 Feb 2019

Logic tells you that something is causing these repetitive symptoms.. I mentioned Candida, did your GP mention this could possibly trigger symptoms if left untreated? Treatment is not only probiotics but also a change in dietary habits. But it’s possible that a different condition altogether is the cause.

Can you get an appointment with a different GP in the practice, it’s widely acknowledged some have a better ‘bedside manner’ than others. Or, would you consider going to a Walk-in Clinic, I’ve done this myself when a GP appointment was unavailable.
Might be worth asking your GP and Lichen Sclerosus. Often misdiagnosed as thrush
