Hello - like to know your experience of having a hyesterscopy - been told a few paracetamol all that is needed and also fit a miruena coil. Apparently I have Adenomyosis (as well as stage iv endo which I knew about) but wants to exclude womb cancer. Is this true it doesn’t hurt? Also any experiences of the coil for managing Adenomyosis? Tbh he said we discussed it, we didn’t - I was told...I am 48...and they are hoping menopause will kick in and all should be well. Mmmm...thank you all for sharing...

Hi! I had this 5 years ago aged 50. Had a mirena coil fitted at the same time. My periods stopped completely 2 years ago and am now post menopause. This procedure was not painful at all and helped me enormously! Good luck x
I’m 49 and a year ago I had a hysteroscopy, polypectomy, endometrial biopsy and Mirena coil fitted all at the same time, although under general anaesthetic. Only needed to take paracetamol for a couple of days afterwards and then absolutely fine. I had no issues with the hysteroscopy.
